– We look forward to a long-term and strategic relationship where we are able to develop and streamline Ford’s vehicle logistics. This is an important contract for Logent, through which we become a major distributor of Ford’s vehicles for the Swedish market. Being entrusted as a new supplier for Ford Motor Company AB shows that we have a competitive overall concept for vehicle distribution, says Anders Borgström, CEO Logent Automotive Logistics.
The collaboration includes distribution for the Swedish market, with Logent transporting vehicles from the ports in Gothenburg, Malmö, Wallhamn and Södertälje to dealerships around Sweden. The environmentally friendly and efficient distribution solution is based partly on a unit train with a 24-hour cycle and daily departures from Gothenburg, and also includes freight by truck. The solution uses dedicated terminals in Gothenburg, Stockholm, Sundsvall and Umeå, which are part of Logents nationwide intermodal network of ports and combined terminals.
