Logent has been selected by Hitachi Energy, global leader in electrification, as its strategic logistics partner for a new logistics center in Ludvika, Sweden. The partnership covers both the design and operation of the facility, which is expected to become one of the largest industrial logistics establishments in Northern Europe.
Global demand for power grid infrastructure is growing rapidly. To meet this demand and enable continued expansion, a new logistics center is being developed directly adjacent to Hitachi Energy´s production facility in Ludvika.
Logent has been selected as the partner responsible for planning the warehouse design, operational processes, system setup and equipment investments required to establish the new operation.
Operations at the new logistics center are expected to commence during 2027.
Once operational, Logent will manage warehousing operations at the new logistics center, comprising more than 100,000 square meters, including internal transport and distribution to the production site in Ludvika. The facility is expected to be among the largest logistics establishments in Northern Europe.
Through this expanded collaboration, Hitachi Energy gains a trusted logistics partner responsible for establishing and operating the new logistics setup, allowing the company to focus on its core business and production development. At the same time, the agreement further strengthens the relationship between the companies and supports future cooperation across multiple markets.
